Alys in Wonderland: Chapter Four: Awake

Sorry it's so short. Starting to switch points of view here. Now we get to see a side of Alys. :)

I open my eyes and immediately close them again as the bright light blinds me. Did Dad leave the overhead light on again? Geez, he never let's me sleep in. I roll over and groan, the grass tickling my eyelashes and nose.
Wait. Grass?
My eyes snap open and I sit up too fast, making my head spin.I lie back again. My body feels fuzzy and I hurt all over. I sit up slower this time, blinking to adjust my eyes to the bright light. I put my hand to my forehead to stop the pounding in my skull. I look around the grassy clearing I lie in. Bushes surround me from every angle, bright lavender and pink flowers cluttering the branches. I pull my legs under me and sit on my knees, noticing that I’m dressed in a light blue blazer and pleated skirt, a crisp white collared shirt under the blazer, and a matching blue ribbon tying my hair to the side. White knee-high converse fit perfectly on my feet. A bee buzzes by my ear and I swat it away. Where am I? I stand up and almost jump as I feel something against my foot. I turn and see a boy lying on the ground across from where I was a few seconds ago. One arm is draped over his stomach, the other reaching out to his side, palm up. His eyes are closed, his face calm. He wears a black polo shirt with a dark blue jacket and grey jeans, with black combat boots. His brown hair falls over his eyes as he sleeps. I gaze at him, wondering if I should leave him or wake him up. But before I can decide, his eyes open sleepily and he sits up slowly. I back up a little until he sees me, his eyes wide with wonder and shock.
"It's you.”
